About the Journal

Narrative and Education (N&E) is an international peer-reviewed journal sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Interdisciplinary Educational Studies (AAIDES) dedicated to scholarly research into narrative approaches, methodologies, and applications in educational contexts. The journal seeks to advance understanding of how storytelling and story-based pedagogies shape learning experiences, knowledge construction, and meaning-making processes.

N&E publishes original research articles, theoretical analyses, empirical studies, and critical reviews examining narrative use in educational settings, including pedagogical storytelling, student life histories, curriculum discourse, teacher professional accounts, and educational analysis. The journal aims to bridge narrative theory and educational practice through interdisciplinary work demonstrating how story-based approaches can enhance teaching, learning, and research from early childhood to higher education.

N&E is published twice a year as an open-access journal. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to maintain high academic standards and integrity. The journal welcomes research articles, theoretical papers, literature reviews, case studies, life history analyses, critical commentaries, and practice-based papers on innovative storytelling approaches in education.

Through its open-access policy, N&E seeks to ensure widespread dissemination of research and developments in educational narrative studies, serving educators, researchers, curriculum developers, and practitioners worldwide interested in storytelling's role in learning and teaching contexts.

N&E is currently finalizing its editorial board structure. The journal will begin accepting manuscript submissions once this process is completed.
